LET'S TOAST IT UP!
Hey!
I am alive, and I doing better than ever..... after taking the GRE!
I am debating going to grad school, and I decided that I needed to start taking steps in the right direction. Over the last 8 weeks I have been studying for the test; sometimes a little more diligently than others! I took this sweet class at the U that was on Saturday's from 9-1. The best part of the class was my stallion of a teacher who was from Miami. This picture is pretty much exactly like him:

He had slicked hair, always came with dark sunglasses, and wore the mock turtle necks like it was his religion! He would always come back from break with a raspy voice cause he had just come from smoking a cigar. Classy! He was a great teacher though and I feel like I learned a lot from his class.
Best moment from class: I love diet coke. It totally soothes me. So, of course I would bring one with me almost every class. Well, on one fateful Saturday I needed to get my dictionary out of my bag. So I bent over to get it and don't worry, I totally booted my diet coke over. I could have been lucky and had it just tip over with the lid on. NOPE! It spilled everywhere!! Our instructor was right in the middle of talking and out of pure reaction i yelled "SHOOT!" (luckily that is what I yelled!) and I ran out of class to get towels... 3 times. Yep, that much spilled that I had to go 3 times for towels. AHHH! It was super embarrassing- but hilarious.
Today was the day. I have been studying all week, and I knew I had to do it this morning. I got to the testing center, and the lady at the front desk was frantic! She was totally sweating and out of control. She looked at me and said really loudly "I forgot to take my medication that makes me not perspire!" hahaha! I about died. Then I had to fill out an application. No joke, this was the hardest part of my entire test. On the application I had to copy an entire section I had to hand write in CURSIVE!! As dumb as this sounds, this was SO hard for me. I really have not used it since about 5th grade. WOW! After that, it was smooth sailing. I got the test done and I AM SO HAPPY! I might take it again to improve my score, but I am glad I at least got the first time over with. YEAH! This is how I have felt since I am done:

Hey! Good job on taking the GRE! That is awesome - and you SHOULD party!
Oh Trishy, I will miss those Sunday afternoons, sitting with you upstairs doing the math section because we thought it was fun. We are officially dorks! I love the lady that told you about her perspiring problem. P.S. Ever since I started working I have been drinking diet coke like it is going out of style! It's on tap, and I always need a little caffeine boost in the morning... okay afternoon... okay like all the time. But I love it!

Good job T bird! I remember the cursive section, too, and it caught me off guard! You didn't know you'd need skills from 5th grade to take the GRE, huh? I'm glad you are done and I want to know more about where you apply and stuff! P.S. I did awful on the GRE. I'm so lucky they let me into grad school! No kidding, to get into the U you had to have at least 1000. I got just below that. Yep. Not even the lowest allowed to get in. But I graduated and now I'm golden! :)
Who does use cursive? I do teach 5th grade, and I don't even use it! Congrats on taking the GRE, that is awesome. And I do love the Diet Coke story!
Good Job Wishka! I freakin hat cursive. I don't remember how to do half the letters, but I have to show little 3rd graders how to do it. I probably show them all wrong. Good luck in all your future plans!
I'm glad you finally did a new update! I love hearing about what you're up to and what's going on. You look beautiful! So funny that you spilled your diet coke in the middle of class, classic!
You should have paid better attention to Mr. Bauer and those overheads of all the letters...cursive is a very important skill to have in this day and age ;) Congrats on being finished!!!
AHAH! Diet Coke story..... Classic! I would not have been able to take the GRE without laughin and busting up randomly after that womans comment. Way to keep it together! ahaha. Love you.
Hahaha! Trish, you are too funny. I know, I'm a late reader. But still... funny.
