Arrest Me Officer!

Over the last six months I have had a problem.... SHOPLIFTTING! Ok, let's get something straight. I am honest, chaste, and benevolant ( At least I think I am!) and I don't usually steal! But over the past half a year, I have shoplifted about 5 or 6 times. Here is the latest crime :

I stopped at Dan's grocery store this morning before my GRE class to get me some snacks. Nothing big, just a Dr. Pepper and some Chex Mix. I went to the cashier, and paid for my items then left. I got to school to open up my bag to 2 little boxes of tic tacs! Guess what? For sure had just stuck them in my purse and totally forgot to pay for them. AHHH! I don't know how this happens, and more imporant: how I don't get caught!
Now this may seem small, but I was totally sweatin' it that somebody had seen me and written down my license plates! Oh great. Here are just a few other occasions that I had been gettin' the five finger discout: (PS- after class I went back to Dan's and paid for them. The cashier laughed and told me I was very honest :)

• At Walmart I was looking at eye shadow, got home and I had one in my pocket. Oops! I just took it back and put it on the shelf the next day
  
• At the gas station by the U, I grabbed a drink was out the door before I realized that I hadn't paid. Luckily the cashier yelled something at me to make me remember.
• The Maverick by Chad and Ashley's. I got all the way to my car, started and put it into reverse before I realized that I sure hadn't paid. This time, for some reason, ran back in at the speed of light and yelled " I didn't pay for my drink!" Only to scare the heebee-jeebee's out of the clerks becuase they thought I must have a had a gun. Nope, just a flighty blonde who was trying to be integritous!
  

I am steals-magee! I am dang lucky I haven't been caught! My plea is that if we are in a store together, please remind me to be a good girl and pay for things I have bought.
